Help available

Support is available for both HPC and storage users.

For HPC, you can refer to the BlueCrystal User Guide plus advice on policy issues here.

For Research Data Storage, refer to the RDSF usage FAQs and the RDSF policy FAQs pages.

We run a programme of HPC workshops on a termly basis. Details are available here.

Reporting a problem/requesting help

We are now using the University's IT Service Desk to manage any incidents or problems.

If you have been unable to resolve a problem with either HPC or Research Data Storage, you require new software to be installed or you are experiencing a problem with the system, please email rather than one of the System Administrators, with details of the issue. Please include in the subject line either HPC or Research Data Storage, so that queries can be directed to the appropriate staff. You will be issued with a number which you should then include in the subject line of any further emails on the issue.

Please note that if you need advice on using the UoB VPN to access BlueCrystal from home, you should contact your departmental support officers. If you wish to access BluePeta from home, you can request this by emailing the IT Service Desk, .
