Applying for Research Data Storage

The University Research Data Storage Facility (RDSF) is available to researchers across the University.

Please read the documents listed below regarding usage and policy of the storage facility. Please note the policy documents are subject to ongoing review and update as needed.

A Data Steward should be a project PI who can have long term responsibility for the data, in line with funder requirements.

If you are unsure whether you are eligible to be a Data Steward, or have any other queries about the application process, you can contact:
Caroline Gardiner to discuss your needs. We can answer questions and arrange for a one to one consultation if requested.

The application process consists of the following steps:

• Complete the form to register as a Data Steward.
• Then complete the application form to register your project.
• Your application will then be considered by the Research Data Storage and Management Executive.
• We will contact you after 7 days with details of the project set up or if further information is needed about the application.
